lexikon is a small business specialising in language solutions in Italian.

It was established in Turin in 2005 when I decided to test my mettle and start my own business following 15 years’ experience working for one of the most reputable translation agencies in my home city.

Since then I have been providing my services to national, and mainly international, clients with whom I’ve built mutually trusting relationships that span over twenty years in some cases. I collaborate with hand-picked, high-profile linguists with a wealth of experience and associated skills. Together, in the last 15 years alone, we have translated and edited over 30 million words.

Our ethos is Quality Over Quantity, and our mission is to provide a boutique service tailored to the most selective client’s needs.

You won’t find “translations in any language combination” at Lexikon, because we prefer to handle solely languages and sectors that we know personally and in depth. It’s important, even crucial, to emphasise that we only translate into our native language, which is the only language understood to the point that each and every nuance can be conveyed.

In practice, professional translators must fully understand the source language to be able to capture every meaning expressed, but they can only write naturally and fluidly in their own language, having understood all of its secrets and subtleties.
